MUSICIANS FOR WEDDINGS

It is the responsibility of the engaged couple to contact and arrange for musicians for their wedding. The following persons either have provided music here at St. John Vianney’s or have been recommended to us. This list is given for your convenience and is not meant to limit your choice of musicians in any way.

We do require, however, that musicians be completely familiar with the Catholic Marriage Liturgy. When a marriage is celebrated within Mass, the musicians should be prepared to play and sing the parts of the Mass.

Music for the Wedding Ceremony must be suitable for worship. A couple’s favorite love song is best performed at the reception. In church the music should support the prayer of the congregation; it should offer praise to God and help the congregation pray for the couple who is getting married.
